Holly Fulton is one of the most exciting designers showing today, so I was pretty disappointed that we didn’t get tickets for this show. Not to worry, I thought, there’s always the static stands! Scottish lass Holly had a prominent area just to the right of the entrance to the New Gen sponsored area, where I was able to take a closer look at her collection. Holly Fulton specialises in a bold art deco aesthetic mixed with bright perspex beaded shapes and it’s so up my street it hurts.

Visiting the static stands is always a good way to actually meet the designers in person, so of course I went up to Holly and told her that I was very sad to have missed her show. Apparently there were only 200 seats. (STILL) Of course I told her of my desire to interview her and, seeming slightly harried, she pointed me in the direction of her PR. Well, since they didn’t consider me worthy of a ticket I don’t hold out much hope for an interview, but I can live in hope… I suspect that this is one designer who is struggling to cope with all the attention she must be receiving of late.

Here, anyway, are Jenny Robin’s delightful renditions of the Holly Fulton collection.

We hope to bring your more Holly Fulton magic soon! In the meantime you can find Holly Fulton’s collaboration with ASOS here.
