At the entrance to The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk visitors are greeted by a spooky set of mannequins with moving faces, help created by projections that have been modelled on actual people. Outfits are presented in themed rooms; on moving and posed mannequins, some rapidly moving past on a conveyor belt.

My favourites were (perhaps surprisingly) his ethnic inspired creations which mainly date from the last decade, a period when I have less knowledge of the label. But there are many wonderful and recognisable outfits from his hugely prolific career, all of which serve as a magnificent reminder of Jean Paul Gaultier‘s unique creative genius.
