East End Film Festival: Life on the Olympic Edgelands

Watch a series of interesting films about the impact of the Olympics on the local residents of East London. Including a film made by Sally Mumby-Croft, ex intern of Amelia's Magazine

Sat 24th April 2010, 01:30pm

Rio Cinema, 107 Kingsland High Street, London, E8

Category: Art

A must see this weekend is a film directed by ex intern Sally Mumby-Croft, which will be shown at the Rio Cinema as part of the East End Film Festival on Saturday 24th April along with a series of films looking at the impact of the Olympics on locals. The films start at 1.30pm and take a look at the lives of the residents and many artists who live in the area. There will be a discussion and Q & A with the filmmakers afterwards (including our very own Sally) which should be very interesting if you have any interest in the effect of such mega projects on local communities. To book tickets visit the Rio Cinema online.
