This is a positive view of the future, a twist on futuristic depictions of industrial and somewhat dark urban landscapes, such as the imagery from Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. This micro city is organic and with a little help is ever growing with nature. The bees are helping the city to grow by pollinating it, and they fly in straight lines like futuristic flying cars dodging city buildings. High above in the distance birds fly in linear formations towards distant trees and nests like docking spaceships. The city is buzzing and the lights from the skyscraper flowers can be seen for miles; attracting butterflies to fly fast amongst the towering plant buildings. It’s a small city but it’s growing bigger! New seedlings are planted and grow to ensure this ever changing city is still here next summer.
