The idea behind my illustration Cotton Valley derived from my own love for nature and my Finnish homeland. I used to spend every summer at my family home, beside a lake and surrounded by acres of forests. As in my picture, we used firewood, composters, and had fun growing our own vegetables.
It is a valued tradition to work with nature rather than against it.
I hope that through this colourful illustration, the viewer finds inspiration to think about and take care of our environment that little bit more.
If Cotton Valley looks inviting enough to step into, then perhaps this is a good start in planning for a positive future.
