Wiola Wolczynska S/S 2012. All photography by Amelia Gregory.
Wiola Wolczynska, Aleksandra Kmiecik and Michal Szulc showed on the main catwalk on Friday afternoon; here’s what I thought of each show.
Last season Wiola Wolczynska‘s collection was mainly draped and mainly grey, but this season she jump started the show with an injection of bright turquoise… before reverting back to various shades of grey, accessorised with black fingerless gloves. Leggings came in metallic silver and gold topped by floppy jersey tops with looped hems, and final dresses flirted with cerise.
Aleksandra Kmiecik‘s new collection mixed sporty stripes and boxy shapes with flirty floral patchwork and flip skirts in a strange colour palette that encompassed dusty blue, earthy brown and yellow.
It was boobs ahoy at Michał Szulc, with gaping waistcoats and sheer fabrics: again a draped tailored look reigned supreme. My favourite outfits by far were the totally anomalous camouflage track suits that appeared half way through.
