London Fashion Week A/W 2010: Esther Coombs/Nicole Farhi Windows

Illustrator Esther Coombs works her illustrative magic during London Fashion Week

If you go down to Bond Street today, seek or throughout Fashion Week, sickness in fact, thumb you're sure of a big surprise.

I'm sure their windows always look lovely (most of the stores in this highly desirable area probably have bigger visual merchandising budgets than some designers have for their collections) but Farhi's windows are currently adorned with illustrations by the lovely Esther Coombs.

Esther usually works on more smaller mediums - she rescues ornate and delicate china from charity shops and customises each piece by hand with ceramic ink. Her linear doodles of buildings old and new bring fresh life to dated objects.
